This pub has a idyllic location on the river. There is a patio overlooking the river and some of the tables inside have a view across the patio to the river. A delight to sit and enjoy the view along with food and brew.
We started with the Cajun tater tots. These were interesting with a nice spicy flavor and very crisp with no oiliness. As I do not like ranch dressing, I chose not to taste the accompanying peppercorn ranch dressing that came with them for dipping but I did note that you could not see peppercorn in it.
We both chose burgers for our meal with a side of french fries. The beef was very good with an excellent strong meaty flavor complemented by superb cheese. The sauce was quite nice and not heavy. The fries were very good, crispy and not oily. I chose to use their chipotle mayonnaise for dipping my fries in; it was nice and spicy but not hot.
We even decided to share a mixed berry crisp for dessert. It contained an excellent blend of local fresh berries (marionberries, raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries). It was very nice and not too sweet. It was served a la mode with a good vanilla ice cream.
They have their own cider and it was quite nice. J declared their beers to be quite nice as well and said they had a good variety to choose from.
I will definitely go out of my way to visit this one again when I am in the area.
