Ramunto’s Brick & Brew Pizzeria

Used 14 May, 2018.

Feeling a bit bushed still from the longish weekend walks, I decided to try pizza delivery.

This was touted as the best pizza in Hanover and we were exhorted to try their famous knots. So, we dialed up 2 garlic& parmesan knots, a chimichurri steak pizza, and 2 cinnamon and sugar knots. Let’s start with the garlic knots (as we did for the meal). Calling these knots is a very large stretch, they were pull apart rolls which had some garlic butter on top (and if you searched really hard, a tiny bit of parmesan); perhaps they are famous for not being knots, it certainly cannot be for being good. We moved on to the pizza; this was a very good pie that would probably have been even better in the restaurant as the crust could have been crisper. It was a fairly thin chewy crust. The chimichurri sauce was very good and just garlicky enough. Toppings were generous without being overdone; roasted tomatoes, caramelized onions, and a nice amount of thinly sliced roasted beef. Then we moved on to the (expectedly) disappointing dessert knots. Once again, they were pull-apart rolls over which some syrupy thing had been lightly poured (I guess this was the sugar part) over and a minuscule amount of cinnamon sprinkled about.

I would get a pie here again but never any more knots.
