Mr. Dooley’s Boston

Visited 18 May 2018.

First stop on our whirlwind tour of Boston and it’s Irish pubs. It is a traditionally decorated Irish pub with a standard menu to match.

We selected from the specials of the day, Irish stew for me while J chose the Irish Rueben. My uninspired beef stew was chock full of potatoes and accompanied by an equally uninspired, slightly gummy, brown bread. J said the Rueben was pretty good but a little bit too juicy so that it soaked through the bread.

I did enjoy my pint of Magners and J had two nice Irish beers (Crean’s Lager and O’Hara’s Pale Ale, the second was a new one for him).

Overall, great for a pint or two but not for the food.
